Ugh. I just had a really crappy english class. If for some reason any of you wind up at Seattle University, for Gods sakes don't take Engel's class.

anyway, I finally finished workin' on ((this)). Its a revision of pics of the wall marie + I did in art. I think, if marie consents, I'm going to turn it into a layout. yay black, pink, and impropriety!

So -

Marie gets credit for many to most of the ideas + images on the board.
Jon gets credit for a few things posted on there.
Tina gets credit for her (not entirely) naked ass, which shows up a few places. ALso, the rest of her body, in disappointing levels of not-naked.
Other people contributed, but I don't remember.

that is all. the praise may commence now.

Heehee...its my new desk top. I hope I dont offend people when they come in and see it.

so today I read the body of christopher creed.

Why is it that all of my favorite authors (okay, I mean plum ucci and palahniuk, but they are pretty much my favorites) write the same book over and over?

Again, to be fair, this is only the second i've read of plum ucci's, but my copy of the she should be arriving soon, and I think it'll be the same.

That said:

I really liked it. <3 though, perhaps because of claire, it was hard for me to view the voices as authentically male. It was fun, though, and I didnt have to stop reading for a half an hour because I was crying too hard to see, which I view as a plus.

Now to eat a dinner of rice cakes, which I've become obesessed with.

dreams. oddly enough, signs spoilers. be warned.

I am really, really, really bad at waking up at predetermined times.

Must wake up by 8 tomorrow at the -latest-

First dream, I dont remember the beginning that well. But I was sick, very very sick, and I was staying in some woman's house. another girl named courtney was sick as well, and we were spending time together. But we were only allowed to be on one half of the house. This was because - dun dun DUN - courtney from real life was sick on the other side fo the house. I dont know why they were separating us, I think she was sick to. There was a lot of screaming and sobbing and being unhappy.

Anyway, a large part of this dream was about cereal: I wanted cereal, but I had to..like...call people to receive it. I hate telephones, so I was trying to get my parents to do this (I dont think I ever saw them, btw. Can't remember how we ocmmunicated, cause they didn't come to the house), but they kept saying I was really irresponsible, and needed to call myself. This pissed me off, as I was like..in danger of death from some mysterious disease, and they'd locked me up inthis evil lady's house.

Anyway, then Courtney-on-my-side-of-the-house began talking to me about aliens. I cant really remember how this conversation got started, but its probably because a) Iwatched signs recently and b) evil bitch lady had aliens captive in the house, too! they were on the other side. or something.

We determined that the aliens also hated hercare, and we should all escape together. Around this time, courtney came from her side to my side (through sneakage, I think), and so me, dream courtney and real courtney all decided to try and talk to the aliens. Who, big surprise, tended to scuttle around the house, stick a head in a room, and then scuttle away. We decided that, should we meet an alien, we should make a peace sign. For some reason we were very certain a peace sign in alien-language didn't translate to anything like "please, destroy the world and me in it," or, "you fucking asshole, let's go", or "hey sailor, lookin' for a good time?". this is the kind of odd certainty one can only obtain in dreams.

So one night (this dream only took place in the dark. Not as though I noticed a passage of days, it was just...always night time.) I am sitting in the kitchen, eating a bow of my hard earned cereal, when something scuttles behind me. I turn and OH HOLY GOD RIGHT NEXT TO ME IN THE DOORWAY IS ALIEN JR, THE SON OF THE EVIL BASTARD FROM SIGNS. ...Except, for some reason, he has eyes like a hammerhead shark. For this, I blame Dead Man's Chest.

despite my incredible terror (I was really really afraid I would be frozen for three minutes, during which he would slowly extend a spike and poison me, which we determined is the only way signs aliens can harm you), but I managed to breathe a few times and make a peace sign. He looked shocked, and started to flee out the front door. I don't know why a) I didn't think of just walking out the door (and still didn't after seeing this), and b) if -he- could go out the front door, they were still her captives. Whatever. I called out, "Wait!" and he turned, and I clasped my hands together and attempted to make a "please save us!" face.

I have no idea whether or not he understood, because I remember nothing else of that dream.

thats right. I had a dead rising dream. Well, only a little. Originally, it was a lets go to the beach dream, which I have kind of a lot.

From what I can tell, meand some classmates (some from ES - sunny and pornstar and such - and some from my elementary school - I think brian was there) are going on a beach trip. We're all staying in one house together, so I'm going to assume that is for the purpose of this trip. Our male lifeguard - who lucas may be interested to know, had something of a burly physique - is hustling us all so we can get down to the beach. But alas! I can't find my swim suit. I've found everything else, but not that. No one notices, however, that i'm lagging and they all slowly leave for the beach.

Now...a large portion of this dream was me searching for my suit, and not finding it, and being sad.

But then sunny returned! And she asked why I was so late, and I said I couldn't find my suit. Sunny somehow fixed this problem, but I don't know how. I think she just told me to swim in my clothes.

So we start walking down the la-boardwalk type thing to the beach, and there we meet the instructor.

Next thing I remember from the dream, we're in a supermarket (though it isn't full of zombies), and Frank the Lifeguard's aged mother has something an evil man wants. Luckily, FtL has a shotgun-slash-big freakin' rifle (its a combo of the two, not any real gun) as well as an aged mother, and the creepy guy trying to steal from his granny doesn't seem to have any legions of darkness to call on, so we're doing okay. Franks mother is standing at on point of a triangle, creepy bastard is at another, staring at Frank's mom, and Frank completes a triangle by pointing the aforementioned big ass gun at evil man. In broad daylight. In a supermarket. And no one cares.

Anyway, I come out of the bathroom (where I was hiding, I think) and see the standoff, and lickety split (which is a hilarious joke, as anyone who has ever tried to hustle the elderly will know) hustle the mother of Frank the journalist/lifeguard out of there.

The next thing I remember, I'm back with ...Courtney, I think? Someone, and frank, and we're walking to my aunt Joyce's house. (I don't have an aunt joyce. This one, because she even looks like her, I blame on Dead Like Me). I am crying a little, because my young cousin has died, I think in connection with the evil freak from Railey's. I'm saying something about how sorry I am for cute-dead-young-cousin, and it occurs to me that now Aunt Joyce is alone. I burst into tears, really sobbing, and start crying, "oh God, aunt Joyce - Oh god!" over and over.

My most vivid "memories" are: shot gun standoff in aisle three, and the part about aunt Joyce.

man. my head is freakin' weird.

FREE STUFF/STICKIN' IT TO THA MAN!

I stole this from themscarecrows. I dont know how to do the nifty icon thing that says they're a user.

anyway -

What with the Washington State Supreme Court handing down its anti-gay-marriage decision several weeks ago and the ever-hearing more about attacks on reproductive rights down south, I'm feeling that the States is tripping a bit too merrily down the Handmaid's path.

This week, I found a way to strike back.

Focus on the Family, the horrid anti-gay evangelical church based in Colorado Springs that wields too much power for anyone's good, has a store on their website that will give you books, CDs, and DVDs absolutely free of charge. Usually people pay for their items by donation, raising millions of dollars to help Focus on the Family produce more hate-propaganda featuring "experts" on homosexuality who claim it's a curable "sickness". (They're practically defined by their book A Parent's Guide to Preventing Homosexuality. Course, there's no mention of having less kids, which is the only proven method. No, no, you shouldn't use birth control, that would be wrong. They need more worshippers, how dare you prevent god's will.)

It's a little bit time-consuming, but not enough to deter me. (Nor should it you). The chance to take money out of their pockets is too useful, not to mention satisfying.

Here's how to do it in 10 steps:

1. Go to www.family.org and look for the "Resources" link in the blue bar on the left-hand side, right above the "Search" box, and click it.

2. Under the "Resource Category" menu on the left-hand side, you'll notice categories such as "Homosexuality" under "Resource Category." Me, I went straight to the CD's and DVD's under "Resource Format."

3. Go through, find something you like, such as the recently released movie, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe or The Chronicles of Narnia Radio Theatre Complete Set, suggested donation US $79.00, or the three disc Les Misérables soundtrack. It's not a very wide range of products, but there's bound to be something either you like or you could use as a sweet gift for someone else. Click the "Add to Cart" button.

They won't send more than $100 worth of materials for free in any given shopping trip, so be sure to go through a few times, until you're sure you've dinged them.

4. Select "Add New Shipping Address," decide to send it yourself or someone else, and once you're done picking up to $100, click "Proceed to Checkout." Some people have been sending items to themselves to sell later on eBay, some have been ordering the more controversial items as conversation pieces or educational props, (as anti-anti-propaganda), but I plan on using mine as gifts, mostly. I've found no reports on receiving Focus on the Family junk mail after inputting an address, so I figure it's fairly safe.

5. The next screen asks you to sign-up for an account and give your information. Fill it out with fictitious information, enter whatever name and address you like. You might want to make up a phone number too and an e-mail account too. After filling out all the required fields, click "Proceed to Checkout" one more time.

6. This will take you to the "Here is Your Cart" page. You may have to re-enter your data again after this part to actually confirm your account. Eventually, you'll get to the "How Much Would You Like to Donate?" page.

7. Select "Enter other total amount" and enter 0.00 as the amount you would like to pay. (Don't put in a dollar sign or it will ask you for credit-card information.) Don't be fooled by the field in the lower-right-hand corner that shows you the suggested donation amounts, simply Proceed to Checkout.

8. The next screen is a guilt screen, to make you feel bad about how little you donated. ignore it. Ignore it utterly. Think of how many people they're persecuted and had in their "gay kids can be cured" camps. Just proceed to checkout again.

9. Click "Checkout Now."

10. Finally, pass this information on to all your friends. They've got money to back them, we have word of mouth, let's see if we can win.

Chiaki Kuriyama is okay looking, but by no means is she hot enough for Takako. ;.;

In other news, I reread BR today*, and when I arrived home, the movie was waiting on my doorstep. <3 <3!

So now Im gunna watch that instead of sleeping. heehee! *excited*

also - is the battle royale thats set to come out in 2008 like...a remake? cause...I'm already excited.

*Just as in the past few times, the explanation of Soume's character is just so...unsually bad compared to the rest of the book. x_X.

in other news, I miss courtney, and being spirited away to wait on my grandmother doesn't really help my social life. Not that i mind. She constantly stuffs me full of desert and then tries to get me to take naps.

Anyway, off to finish thechocolate cake she sent home with me (while I watch Shuya and Noriko fight for freedom! ...or...something)

Quotes!

These are all quotes I scribbled in my planner or journal/notebook thing. I'll try to find all of mine from my art notebook because (aside from making ms. hood believe I'm a coke head) they're a lot funnier.

"Education is life. What is life, when what you learned as been forgotten?" - B.F. Skinner

Mr. Mathews: You all realize you're worth about six thousand a year to the distrcit, right?
Me: ...damn. They should treat us better.

Me: I heard the EE was due friday...
Mr. Mathews: Let me put it this way - are you writing an EE.
Me: ...yes...
Mathews: Is it done?
Me: ...uh...
Mathews: *sigh* Fine. Who isyour advisor?
Me: Correia.
Mathews: How about this — I will tell Correia that if you don't get a paper to him by friday, you will become his personal plaything. Okay?
Me: ...
Mathews: Okay! *scampers away*

Mathews: *lecture*
Something: BEEP BEEP
Mathews: *Jumps a little* Oh! My phone! *glee*

"In the interest of knowledge, one must take risks!" - Mathews (I know he said this as a joke, but its a great quote)

Mathews (discussing career options as a sub): ...Or, I could kick it at Hiram J.
Me: ...kick it?
Mathews: thats what we did. Its a technical term.

"Why did God give you language if this is what you're going to do with it?" - Mathews, about ToK IAs from the past.

Mathews: There was one evaluator who said that unless ToK students sed Plato's allegorical cave when discussing perception, she wouldn't pass them. So some evaluators are kind of...
Me (or Cambria, I don't remember): Bitch?
Mathews: ...harsh.

"People fall asleep during 2nd period n May of their senior year. This happens. Its nobody's fault. Its biology. I understand." - Mathews

"Some people don't show up to class, andstill they get As. And you will think, 'Well, since i can clean their clock in tennis, then I'm at least as smart as them!' And you, too, will stop going to class. But you won't get As. Not that I'm speaking from personal experience. Or bitter." - Mr. Mathews

Suchanek: So now we get to hear about acid rain.
Me, Sunny, and a few others: Yaaaaaay!
Suchanek: Yeah, Yay! Except its not really a yay, though, because its fatal.

me: Man. Existentialists are just lazier epicurians.

Me (written on my planner in February): IBO is really just a secret country club for anal retentive obsessive compulsives who have God complexes. They have nowhere else to go, so they join IBO and ruin our lives.
Cambria (written in response): Sad and probably true. Swiss anal retentive obsessive compulsives, at that.

Written on February 18th of my monthly calendar (in sunny's handwriting): LYDIA loves sunny DAY.

Scrawled in a margin of the week of March 27: Terrorist Post Cards!

"You have now been invited to explore prostitution online." - Mathews

"I don't have a functioning pinky!! How am I supposed to PINK things now?!" - Lucas

Me: Oh my GOD i have SO much work to do and i don't think I can finish and I need to get all this studying done and awiluyawe *general freak out*
Sunny: ...I'm wearing pink underwear.
Me: *freeze*
Sunny: Does that make you feel better?
Me: what?
Sunny: It works on Nicky!!

"Aesthetics (or Aesthetics) is the theoretical..." - ToK worksheet

"Moudouken" is written in kanji on the board. (Mou means blind, Dou means guide, Ken means dog using these kanji)
Marie: Its a blind guide dog!
Me: You mean a seeing eye dog?
Marie: Oh. I thought it was a guide dog that was blind.

Marie: I have a penis. And its BIG!

Substitute in ES: You know, I hate when I see beer cans and soda bottles when I hike. I'm very careful — you know, if I throw an apple core away, its not a problem. Unless, you know, those seeds grow where they shouldn't. But I don't leave bottles or cans around.
Sunny: Actually, that would probably be a much bigger problem, because its an invasive species. It would have a greater impact on the biome than the can.
Sub: ... ... *random new topic*

Lucas and I are struggling to figure out how we'll sneak Lucas past Marie's step father on our spring break trip to Japan.
Lucas: well, if I see him, I can just run, or -
Cambria: ...You realize he can't go beyong the gate, right?
Lucas and I: *pause*
Me: ...God bless 9/11.

"Could your brother say you were his father?" - Lucas

Me: There are forests in China, right?
Sunny: Well, yeah, I think. Thats where the bamboo live.

"Normally people have five parts - You know, two legs, two arms, and then, there is the head? But...Maybe if you have no head, you don't live." - Kumagai sensei

Lucas (to me): give me a drink.
Me: No! You call jenae* promiscuous!
Lucas: augh! I did NOT!
Me: If you admit it, I'll let you have some juice!
Lucas: *sigh* Fine. I did. *drinks juice*
*after some time, and chatting on some completely different subjects*
Cambria: Wait - Lucas! You called Jenae promiscuous?!
Lucas: =_=

"It transcends the world of tools, and enters the world of art. Its totally bitchin' cool." - Mr. Mathews on his favorite hammer.

"And he has some relatives and a nanny and his nintendo and whatever the hell else he needs." - Mr. Mathews on Don Pedro's stay in Brazil after his father left.

"The states seceed and then — as they say in my neighborhood — its ON!" - Mr Mathews. Probably on the civil war.

"You guys are in another world. A happy world." - Mathews

Me: I know how to say 'whore' in Turkish.
Marie: Gobble gobble?

Me: *listen to lecture*
Sunny: *leans over, rubs my leg*
Me: *start* What the hell was that?
Sunny: ...It looked cold...

"All your promiscuous characters have all sorts of much bigger problems! There are some people who enjoy being promiscuous, you know!" - Cambria

"Can't you have a marginally not fucked up cute gay hooker?!" - also cambria

"I though Jesus spoke Roman..." - Cambria, once more.

"Why are all asians so racist?" - Sunny.

Cambria: What kind of economy did the USSR have?
Me: A crap one.
sunny: A commie one.
Cambria: I'm glad to know you've learned so much from global...

Sunny (after learning that brown shirts were also called Storm Troopers): Oh, is that were storm troopers come from? In the movies?
Me: Yeah.
Richard: Hitler's guys missed less, though.

Sunny: Transfer to ES!
Richard: Give me gold.
Sunny: I don't have gold on that server.
Me: ...Real life?

Sunny: Nick and I made up last night.
Me: Oh, yay! Thats good!
Sunny: Yeah. Then we...you know. Celebrated.
Me: Oh my god! Make up sex?!!?!
Sunny: EWW! Thats GROSS! Make up Quest.

*I still can't spell your name, JUH NAY. I'm sorry. *failure*

ANyway, i'm gunna post the mathews ones on the facebook fansite. Yays.

You aren't well-known around the school, just within your house. You are very outgoing and love to have fun. You get decent marks in class and play quidditch.

Harry: Doesn't know you very well, but thinks your nice and funny.

Ron: Thinks your a good person and wishes he was as good in Quidditch as you.

Hermione: She thinks you should think more about your grades, but thinks you are still a good role-model.

Ginny: Thinks you are the perfect role-model and hopes she'll be like you, which means she wants to have guy friends like you.

Neville: Doesn't talk to you because you are older than him and are kind of intimidating.

Fred and George: Fred thinks you are a great prankster partner and George has a crush on you. They love that you always help them with their pranks.

Oliver Wood: Has a huge crush on you, probably because you are just as quidditch obsessed as he is.

Cedric Diggory: Thinks you were a great quidditch player and thanked you profusely (before he died) for setting him up with Cho.

Cho Chang: She is like your younger sister. You watch over her and you were the one who set her up with Cedric. She adores you and will miss you when you graduate.

Lavender Brown: Doesn't know you very well. Doesn't talk to you either.

Draco Malfoy: Only knows your name and hates you for always kicking his arse in quidditch.

Pansy: Doesn't know you.

Crabbe and Goyle: Same as Pansy

Dumbledore: Thinks you are a very bright witch.

McGonagall: You are the apple of her eye.
